Description

The “TEMA Gönüllüleri ve Sivas Doğa Sporları Kulübü – Serpincik Göleti Bölgesinde Çevre Temizliği” compaign is a collaborative effort between TEMA volunteers and Sivas Doğa Sporları Kulübü (SADAK) members. Its primary goal is to combat environmental pollution and promote environmental consciousness in the Serpincik Göleti region, particularly in areas that attract visitors for picnics and outdoor activities. Through regular clean-up campaigns and educational activities, the project aims to raise awareness about the importance of keeping natural areas clean, encouraging responsible behavior, and fostering a sense of environmental stewardship among the community and youth. The initiative serves as a response to the environmental challenges posed by increased human activity in these natural settings and emphasizes the importance of leaving a clean and sustainable environment for future generations.   The campaign is an ongoing initiative. Clean-up campaigns and awareness activities are conducted periodically to ensure the sustainability of environmental stewardship efforts in the Serpincik Göleti region.

Scope

The scope of the “TEMA Gönüllüleri ve Sivas Doğa Sporları Kulübü – Serpincik Göleti Bölgesinde Çevre Temizliği” compaign is to address environmental pollution and promote environmental awareness in the Serpincik Göleti region in Sivas Province. The project focuses on organizing clean-up activities in response to the increasing pollution in picnic areas and lakefronts, especially after the lifting of COVID-19-related restrictions. Objectives:
  • Conduct clean-up campaigns in natural areas like Serpincik Göleti to reduce environmental pollution
  • Raise awareness about environmental conservation and cleanliness among the community
  • Encourage responsible behavior among visitors to natural sites, including proper waste disposal
  • Collaborate with volunteers from TEMA (The Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion, for Reforestation and the Protection of Natural Habitats) and members of the Sivas Doğa Sporları Kulübü (SADAK) to promote environmental stewardship
