Description

To achieve the set objectives, the project participants were provided with 3 different tools, to be contextualised and enhanced in their own territorial contexts: CChallenge, an online tool that facilitates participants’ engagement with change challenges, in this case related to sustainability. SenseMaker, which helps participants trace and deepen their own narratives related to change. SenseMaker captures images, recordings and writings of large groups of people easily and at low cost. LORET, a tool designed to support the production of materials to support teachers in conducting local sustainable development projects.

Scope

The main objective of the project was to develop tools and methods to facilitate collaboration between schools and local communities addressing sustainability challenges, through so-called ‘open schooling’. This is an approach that invites schools to open up to external actors, who engage with students and teachers to trigger change in the community, involving three highly interconnected spheres: the personal, the practical and the political.
