Description

The “Atma Bağışla!” project is a dual-purpose initiative with the aim of providing an alternative funding source for TEGV while also addressing the environmental impact of e-waste. It encourages individuals to recycle unused electronic items, such as computers, monitors, smartphones, and various electronic appliances, which fall under the category of e-waste. These items are collected, recycled, and their scrap value is donated to TEGV. This project not only supports the educational needs of children but also promotes sustainable environmental practices by reducing e-waste and its negative impact on the environment. It is an ongoing effort that relies on the participation of individuals and organizations interested in contributing to both education and environmental sustainability. The “Atma Bağışla!” project operates on an ongoing basis, as it encourages individuals to continuously donate their e-waste for recycling. There may be specific campaigns or initiatives with defined timeframes, but the overall project is expected to continue supporting TEGV’s mission and contributing to environmental sustainability.

Scope

The scope of the “Atma Bağışla!” (Don’t Dispose, Donate!) project is twofold. On one hand, it aims to create an alternative source of funding for TEGV (Educational Volunteers Foundation of Turkey) to support more children in accessing quality education. On the other hand, it seeks to reduce the environmental impact of e-waste by encouraging the recycling of electronic items. This project aligns with the goal of supporting sustainable environmental initiatives.   Objectives:
  • Establish an alternative funding source for TEGV to facilitate access to quality education for more children
  • Reduce the environmental damage caused by e-waste by promoting recycling
  • Support sustainable environmental activities
